Hm tery mujrim thehry

Hum k jo logo'n se swalat kia kerty thy

Hum k jo her bat ki 100 bat kia kerty thy

Ae mohabbat!
teri is tehwel me aany se zra pehly takk

Hm b isi sher me ezzat se raha krty thy

Or ab teri sakhawt k ghaney saaye me

Khalqat-e-sher ko hm zinda tamasha tehray

Jitny elzam thy mafhoom hmara tehray

Ae mohbt!
Tu Zra andaz badal le apna

Tuj ko aainda b aoshaaq ka khoo'n pina ha

Hm to mar jaein gy tuj ko to magr jeena hai.
